UNBUILT is a limited edition, biannual culture and lifestyle publication that debuted in April 2016. Conceived, developed, and designed by TOM BEJGROWICZ, Tom partnered with fellow editors D. RANDALL BLYTHE (Vocalist, Lamb of God) and ALEX SKOLNICK (Lead Guitarist, Testament) to bring UNBUILT to life. /// To order, please visit MAN ALIVE CREATIVE's online store HERE.

TOM BEJGROWICZ: "One of the goals of UNBUILT is to expand the scope of knowledge for both its readers and ourselves as editors. While Alex, Randy & I are bonded by music, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for who we are as people. Not unlike Iron Maiden, Rush and Accept turning my teenage self onto the likes of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Ayn Rand and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, I hope UNBUILT exposes its readers to new people, new ideas and different ways of seeing the world we live in." D. RANDALL BLYTHE: "As a professional musician, I’ve traveled the world using the platform my band provides for artistic expression via my lyrics and voice. But for me, a four and a half minute heavy metal song doesn’t have the space to convey some of the more complex points I wish to make, nor does it allow me to express myself visually. As a writer and photographer, UNBUILT supplies a well-designed outlet for those other (and equally important) aspects of my creative life." (photo by Kevin Wilson)

ALEX SKOLNICK: "Having spent untold hours of youth locked away with an instrument and some favorite records, writer’ wasn’t a description I imagined for myself early on. Years later, however, I found a written voice, along with the discovery that writing can be every bit as expressively satisfying as music. Now, after much blogging and contributing online, I’m excited to be part of a new printed format to take this vehicle into previously unexplored places. UNBUILT is curated by a small collective of likeminded friends who value creativity, don’t fit into a box and prefer to think outside of it." (photo by D. Randall Blythe)

ALISSA WHITE-GLUZ: Joining the team for Issue 02, Alissa is a vocalist and activist who has dedicated the past 15 years of her life to work in human rights, animal rights and environmental protection. Alissa adds, “Art without passion is empty. Metal is such an amazing outlet for passionate fans and musicians alike. My passion has always been equality among races, genders and species. There is a lot of wrong in the world. Rather than complaining about it, I don’t see why we shouldn’t all DO something about it. It is this fire that fuels everything I do, especially my music.”
